WHY THESE TWO

The Salt Pencil F works best when fish are feeding on the surface but not aggressively — its subtle walk-the-dog action draws strikes from wary fish. The Feed Popper 128 is the aggressive option: loud, splashy, and deadly when fish are actively smashing bait on the surface. These two cover opposite ends of the surface bite spectrum.

HOW TO FISH LURE 1 — DAIWA MORETHAN SALT PENCIL F 100MM (LASER SARDINE)

Work the Salt Pencil with a walk-the-dog action — rhythmic rod tip twitches with a slack line to create a side-to-side glide across the surface. Most effective when fish are feeding quietly or when a more subtle approach is needed. Excellent around bait schools and along reef edges.

HOW TO FISH LURE 2 — TACKLE HOUSE FEED POPPER 128MM (GHOST CHARTREUSE)

Use long sweeps of the rod to create a loud pop followed by a short pause. This stop-start retrieve is highly effective on tailor, salmon, queenfish, trevally and surface-feeding tuna, especially when baitfish are active. The Ghost Chartreuse colour excels in low light, dirty water and windy conditions.

SST HARDWARE CHECKED

Every lure is individually inspected before being selected for a WA Ready Pack. Quality genuine Japanese hooks and split rings are retained where they remain in excellent fishing condition. Worn, corroded, damaged or unsuitable hardware is replaced with appropriately matched BKK saltwater hardware.
