The AREA 10 is a Japanese shallow-running minnow — 100mm, 9g — built for ultra-shallow estuary presentations where a light, finesse lure working the top metre of the water column is exactly what's needed. At only 9g it sits in a different weight class from most WA estuary lures, giving it a slower, more natural fall and a subtle action that works particularly well over shallow flats and estuary margins at night.

The Red Head Holographic colour is a proven attractor pattern — high-vis red head, holographic silver body — visible in low light and effective across a range of water clarity conditions on the Swan River and Peel-Harvey.

HOW TO FISH IT

Work it on a slow retrieve along shallow estuary edges, weed lines and flats. The light 9g weight keeps it in the top metre of the water column — ideal for mulloway and tailor working shallow structure at night or during low-light feeding windows. Pause and let it rise for bream and flathead holding in very shallow water.
