The Jackson Athlete F12 is a classic Japanese floating minnow with a long baitfish profile well suited to WA estuary and nearshore predators. The red/gold finish is an excellent low-light and dirty-water colour for mulloway and tailor. This example shows noticeable cosmetic wear and is missing its hooks and split rings, but the body, bib and attachment points appear sound.

HOW TO FISH IT

Work it along Swan River channel edges, drop-offs and shallow flats with a steady slow-to-medium retrieve for mulloway and tailor. The floating design also lets you pause and raise the lure over shallow weed and structure.
