The discontinued DUO Tide Minnow Slim Heretic 105S is an unusual heavy sinking member of the early Tide Minnow family, using a metal lip and compact 105mm profile to hold its swimming depth in current and rougher water. Dating back to DUO’s 2004 specialist Tide Minnow range, the Heretic was designed to work the 0.5–1.5m zone where conventional shallow runners can’t reach. This gold/chartreuse example has visible cosmetic wear and is missing its three hooks and rings, but the body and distinctive metal lip remain sound.

HOW TO FISH IT

A very useful Swan River and Peel-Harvey lure when mulloway, tailor or flathead are sitting below the shallow-running minnow zone. Cast across channel edges and current lines and retrieve slowly to hold the 0.5–1.5m zone, adding occasional twitches and pauses around bait.
