The Daiwa Shore Line Shiner R40 LD S-G is an older discontinued JDM sinking minnow — 95mm, approximately 8g — in a high-vis Chartreuse / Orange Head colour that stands out in dirty water, low light and night fishing conditions. This is exactly the kind of lure that earns its place in a WA estuary angler's kit.

The chartreuse/orange presentation is quite different from the natural-colour minnows in the SST range, making it a useful contrast option for the Swan River, Peel-Harvey and similar estuary systems where mulloway and tailor are the primary targets.

HOW TO FISH IT

Work it on a slow, steady retrieve along channel edges and drop-offs after dark. The sinking profile lets you target the water column precisely — count it down to depth, then retrieve at a pace that keeps it swimming. Effective for mulloway, tailor, WA salmon and flathead.
